Aurora Gallery

Here's Proof that Humans Did, In Fact, Land on the Moon!!!

Click on the picture for a closeup view of the Apollo 11 landing site on the moon in the Sea of Tranquility. Visible in the photo are many features including the bottom half of the lunar landing module that Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin used to touch down on the surface (LM), the video camera they set up to film their activities and lift-off and some of their footsteps (tiny trails visible in the soil) leading away from the landing module. This and other similar photos were taken by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter with its high resolution mapping camera. Click here for more pics and more details.
